Rock Climbing

Friday, July 26, 2013
Last week, David and I wanted to hike to Stewart Falls together, and I talked Kathy into coming with us as well. The only difference is that I found a trail that I thought went to the top of he waterfall. With me being so adventurous, we took it! After about ten steps, I started getting nervous because the entire trail was straight up and down. It wasn't a hike. We would have to climb up the entire thing. We climbed for about 45 minutes before we decided it was getting too dangerous and wasn't worth it. We had climbed on our hands and knees, and most of the time we were climbing at about an 80 degree angle, which means that one slip and you fell all the way down to the bottom.

Looking back, we are super lucky that none of us got hurt. I'm not even sure if it was a trail, because it actually looked like it was where a bunch of rocks constantly fall down because the trail was full of loose rocks. Either way, it's a blessing! Here are the photos I managed to snap while hanging on for my dear life. You won't be able to see the trail in most of the photos because it was so steep. These photos don't do justice.

In this next photo, I was taking a panoramic when I started to fall... You can see how that turned out.
